Skillman Foundation

Detroit, Michigan | Workplace Interior Design | Detroit Design Award Winner

For the Skillman Foundation’s Detroit offices, designed in collaboration with Hannah Architects, the goal was to create a workplace that felt deeply connected to the organization’s mission + the community it serves. Rather than a traditional corporate environment, the space was designed to feel welcoming, energetic and human—balancing the needs of focused work with places for conversation, collaboration + connection.

Warm materials, layered textures, art + thoughtful furnishings bring personality to the workplace while creating an approachable backdrop for employees, partners and community members alike. Each element works together to create a space that feels professional without feeling institutional—one that reflects the optimism, purpose + people at the heart of the organization.

Recognized with a Detroit Design Award, the Skillman Foundation offices reflect our belief that mission-driven organizations deserve spaces that feel equally intentional: workplaces that don't simply support the work happening inside them, but help tell the story of why that work matters.
