For Fascination Factory, the challenge was to transform an outdated auto repair retail space into an imaginative destination for children + families. We approached the project through the lens of discovery—using playful color, unexpected forms + interactive moments to create a space that feels joyful and engaging without sacrificing thoughtful design.

Every detail was considered from both a child’s and parent’s perspective, balancing spaces for play, exploration + events with an environment that still feels elevated, cohesive and welcoming. Whimsy is layered throughout the experience in ways that encourage curiosity and make the space memorable for guests of every age.

Recognized with a Detroit Design Award, Fascination Factory celebrates what happens when commercial design isn't afraid to have a little fun. The result is more than a children’s space—it’s a destination designed around imagination, connection + the kind of experience families want to return to.
